Dennis, a native of Flint, Michigan, joined the firm and was admitted to the bar in 1973. He graduated from Michigan State University with honors in 1969 and earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1972. He is a Member of the Genesee County Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan (Real Property and Commercial Law Sections), and Commercial Law League of America.

Dennis has been actively involved in representation of banks, other creditors and debtors in workouts, bankruptcy proceedings and receiverships in his 37 years in practice. He has been the debtor’s primary counsel in approximately seventy Chapter 11 cases. In addition to an active debtor/creditor practice, he engages in commercial litigation and has been lead counsel in a number of commercial arbitrations in Michigan and a number of other states. He is rated an AV lawyer under the Martindale Hubbell system and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for 2008 and 2009 in bankruptcy and creditor’s rights.
