L. David Lawson is a Member of Winegarden Haley Lindholm & Robertson, PLC, and has been with the Firm since 1986. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general civil and complex commercial litigation; probate and trust litigation and planning; commercial law and transactions, including purchase and sale of businesses, and shareholder and owner disputes; tax; bankruptcy and creditors rights, and appellate law.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the Genesee County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Centennial American Inns of Court, and the Flint Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Lawson was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1981, and also practices in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan (BA, with honors and distinction, 1974), and his law degree at the University of Michigan Law School (JD, cum laude, 1981).
He has held a Certificate of Completion from the Michigan ICLE Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program since 2006.
