Donald H. Robertson retired from the active practice of law in 2020. He now has Emeritus status with the Michigan State Bar Association meaning that he no longer serves clients in the practice of law. He does, however, serve as the firm’s Senior Research Consultant.
Mr. Robertson practiced as an attorney with Winegarden, Haley, Lindholm, Tucker & Himelhoch, PLC from 1979-2020. The main areas of concentration of his practice were appellate law, commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and labor law. He was a member of the Appellate Law, Labor Law and Real Property Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and was admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Robertson received a BA from Alma College, Summa Cum Laude in 1976, and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, Magna Cum Laude in 1979, where he was a member of the Michigan Law Review and the Michigan Chapter of the Order of the Coif.
