David Lawson has retired from the active practice of law after practicing at Winegarden, Haley, Lindholm, Tucker & Himelhoch PLC from 1986-2022. He worked in the areas of general civil and complex commercial litigation; probate, trust and estate planning law and litigation; commercial law and transactions; tax; bankruptcy and creditors rights, and appellate law. He remains available to consult with WHLT&H.
Mr. Lawson was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1981, and also practiced in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan (BA, with honors and distinction, 1974), and his law degree at the University of Michigan Law School (JD, cum laude, 1981).
